Course Description:

The goal of this workshop is to explore what makes a supervisor effective, supportive, and helpful. Participants will review common challenges in supervision and recognize the benefits of using “insight exploration” in their work as supervisors. To do this, we will view video examples and discuss the way supervisors are depicted in popular culture then use supervision tools we’ve developed to examine the role of the supervisor. Participants will identify a variety of techniques that can be used in supervision to promote growth and support along with building a strong relationship with those we supervise
