Course Description:
This training offers a specific focus on conceptualizing complex trauma within the framework of EMDR therapy. The objective of this training is to develop an understanding of case conceptualization within the context of EMDR. Participants will be provided with an in depth review of identifying goals, organizing client’s presenting symptoms, and developing a course of treatment. Definitions of single and complex trauma symptoms will be reviewed and case samples presented throughout the training.

Content / Learning Objectives:
- Identify single and complex trauma symptoms by identifying client goals, presenting symptoms, and past trauma history.
- Describe how to conceptualize complex trauma through an EMDR lens.
- Describe various ways to break down a complex case and conceptualize an appropriate treatment plan using EMDR therapy.
- Identify strategies for treatment planning with complex presentations
- Describe challenges that require changing the course of treatment

- This workshop is intended for licensed mental health therapists who have completed an EMDRIA approved basic training. Skill level: Beginner/Intermediate.Â
- Prerequisite for EMDRIA Credits: Participants must have completed an EMDRIA Approved Basic training in EMDR (both Part I and Part II)
- Certificates are awarded online after completion of the workshop - Participants print their own certificate after registering at CE-Classes.com, entering a keycode, and completing an evaluation form.
- Licensed Professionals should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval
- There is no known commercial support for this program.
