Course Description:

This advanced-level EMDR training is designed for clinicians who have completed foundational EMDR training and are seeking to deepen their skills. The course provides structured guidance for enhancing clinical effectiveness across all eight phases of the EMDR protocol. Participants will receive instruction in advanced application of cognitive interweaves, specialized EMDR protocols, and refinement of core EMDR techniques. The training emphasizes practical strategies for applying the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model and introduces creative interventions to support diverse client needs.

Content / Learning Objectives:  

1 – Recall and describe the AIP model.

2 - Explain creative EMDR interventions to enhance client work.

3 - Explain use of cognitive interweaves, protocols, and basic EMDR skills

Agenda: 

9:00-10:15 Welcome and review of AIP model

10:15-10:30 break

10:30-12:00 Review of protocols – addiction, EMD, recent events

12-12:30 lunch

12:30-1:45 Review of EMDR basic skills – attunement, use of bilateral stimulation, dual awareness, assessing for dissociation

1:45-2:00 break

2:00-3:45 Cognitive Interweaves and Creative EMDR Interventions

3:45-4:00 Q&A and Closing

Course Access:

Training will take place Live on Zoom through Therapist Education Institute. Zoom link will be provided in course materials.

Additional Information

  • This workshop is intended for licensed mental health therapists who have completed an EMDRIA approved basic training. Skill level: Beginner/Intermediate. 
  • Prerequisite for EMDRIA Credits: Participants must have completed an EMDRIA Approved Basic training in EMDR (both Part I and Part II)
  • Certificates are awarded online after completion of the workshop - Participants print their own certificate after registering at CE-Classes.com, entering a keycode, and completing an evaluation form.
  • Licensed Professionals should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval
  • There is no known commercial support for this program.
